What is Girls Who Code HQ? How do I get started?
Girls Who Code HQ is the official platform for the Girls Who Code Clubs program. HQ is home to Girls Who Code’s unique computer science curriculum and coding activities. Once you start or join a Girls Who Code Club, you will receive a Club Code that will unlock all activities.
If you are not yet a member of Girls Who Code, you can either start a Club or find a Club near you to join the sisterhood. On your first day of Club, you will register for an account on Girls Who Code HQ.
Who can use Girls Who Code HQ?
Girls Who Code HQ is currently available to any girl or Facilitator participating in an active 2017-18 Club.
Where can I learn more about Girls Who Code Clubs?
Girls Who Code Clubs are free after-school programs for 6-12th grade girls to use computer science to impact their community and join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models. More information is available at http://girlswhocode.com/clubs.
If I am not in a Club, can I still use HQ or access your curriculum?
Currently, HQ and the Clubs curriculum is only available to current Club participants. We are growing and expanding our offerings, so please join our mailing list for updates.
I am a Facilitator for a Club, how do I sign up?
If you are a Clubs Facilitator, you should register for an HQ account using the same email you used for your Facilitator application. You should receive your Club Code via email. After you Join Your Club, you should be asked to confirm your email so that you can access the Facilitator Toolkit and in-line Facilitator Notes for all activities.
I am a Club participant, how do I sign up?
If you are a member of a Girls Who Code Club, you will receive your Club Code at your first Clubs session. You will then register for an account and join your club to access all of the activities on Girls Who Code HQ.
Do I need an email address to sign up?
Yes. Only Clubs Facilitators are required to verify their email address to access their account. If you are under 13 or do not have an email address of your own, you can ask a family member for help signing up.
